Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of Mental Health Connections. He has a wealth of experience from both the corporate and nonprofit sectors, having spent the first 25 years of his career in corporate for-profit before transitioning to nonprofit work in 2018. Michael is an accomplished executive with experience in operations, business development, resource development and fiscal management. Most notably, he served as CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Contra Costa. What truly sets Michael apart is not just his professional accomplishments but his personal passion for service. Having grown up in environments impacted by drugs, domestic violence, and childhood trauma, Michael's lived experiences give him a profound understanding of the challenges many in our community face. He focuses on supporting those who are often overlooked, helping them access the resources and services they need to thrive, and he enjoys helping organizations reach their absolute maximum potential. Michael’s vision for Mental Health Connections includes expanding programs, strengthening partnerships, and increasing resource development to help more members throughout Contra Costa County. Michael also serves on the Board of Directors of 1Hundred Years Enterprise, a nonprofit organization working to reduce recidivism among youth and vulnerable individuals. Michael holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology from Ohio University and an MBA in Management from San Francisco State University, and he has been a resident of Contra Costa County for over 20 years.
